The Protognosis Institute is unique among the population of policy organizations in that, unlike all others, TPI can point to 3,000 years of recorded history to show the efficacy of the policies and principles it promotes.  In a world that has seen the slaughtering of neighbors for totally selfish reasons, ever since humans discovered they could grasp a weapon, the only mode of behavior that has shown to inspire the humanity within humans, is contained in the essence of Hellenism that was discovered during the classical age of Greece.

Although Hellenism was first contemplated in ancient Greece, it is not related to Greece. The great philosophers of the time, including the big three, Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, attributed the notion of Hellenism to an individual who had embraced Hellenism's civilizing principles and not something related to a geographic location, a tribe or culture.

Twice in recorded history, people joined together in the appreciation of the humanity within us, instead of the depravity within us.  The first incidence was during the Hellenistic period, where the Mediterranean world turned to peaceful coexistence and commerce between neighbors. Then, almost 2,000 years later, with the fall of the Byzantine Empire, Greek scholars migrated to western Europe with ancient Hellenist manuscripts, reigniting Europe in its great Renaissance. If you look around today, you will likely conclude that we need another Renaissance.

Your donation will advance your own principles of all the American values that were written into our Constitution by Founding Fathers who were students of Hellenism, in designing their American experiment. Once you choose to donate from one of our gift opportunities, you will also be able to choose whether your gift is to Protognosis or specifically aimed at one of our programs that are all based upon the Hellenist principles of Beauty, Goodness and Truth.  We invite you to join with us in what is a celebration of western civilization.
